Hello everyone! Today I will tell you about our trip to Batumi in the end of August.
Привет всем! Сегодня мой пост о нашей поездке в Батуми в конце августа.
I know I have not been writing any post since early September, and I feel ashamed. So many things have happened since then. We have been traveling around Georgia a lot. Of course baby has introduced some changes into the frequency and distance of our trips.
Our baby takes 100% of our time. Everything I do - I do for her or because of her. But I don't even think of giving up my blog, of course. That is why in my next 3 posts I will tell you about our experience and impressions in Batumi.
We went to Batumi in the end of August to have our short vacation. Batumi is definitely in the top 5 get-aways in Georgia. It has it all: sea, beaches, mountains... It is a modern city with its unique rhythm.
It took us 5 hours and a half to get to Batumi from Tbilisi (with 3 short stops). But I am sure that one can get there quicker driving faster without stops.
Немного стыдно, что последний мой пост был опубликован еще в начале сентября. Столько всего случилось за это время. Мы все так же стараемся путешествовать. Хотя, конечно же, ребенок внес существенные изменения в частоту и отдаленность наших поездок.
Ребенок занимает 100% моего времени. Все что я делаю, я делаю для нашей доченики или ради неё. Но я и не думаю отказываться от своего блога. В следующих постах я расскажу вам про наши впечатления от Батуми.
Итак, в Батуми мы поехали конце августа на несколько дней. Этот город на Черном море по заслугам считается одним из самых важных туристических мест в Грузии. Там есть все: море, пляжи, горы... Батуми - это современный город со своим непоторимым ритмом.
Ехать в Батуми из Тбилиси быстро и приятно - всего 5 с половиной часов (с 3 остановками). Если не останавливаться и газовать, уверенна, можно доехать быстрее.

The only minuses (which i consider a major downshift) are a constant rain and a pebble beach. We have spent 4 days in Batumi, and only 1 morning was sunny. Only few people were noticed on the beach throughout the period of our stay.
Что не понравилось в Батуми, так это постоянная дождливая погода и гальковый пляж. С 4 дней, только один, последний день был солнечным. Может именно поэтому на пляже людей было очень мало.

Our favourite passtime in Batumi was walking (with a stroller of course) along their picturesque and well maintained Boulvard.
Практичски все время мы проводили гуляя (с каляской) по набережной Батуми (прозванной Бульвардом).

Bicycle rentals system looked so European for me. We will definitely try it next time when our baby is bigger.
Впечатлила также система оренды велосипедов, которая выглядела довольно по-европейски. В следующий раз мы обьязательно опробуем её (когда наша дочка подростет).

In Batumi we stayed in a nice Grand Royal Hotel situated in Sea Tower "C" (the middle one). This hotel occupies 3 floors (16th-18th) in the the highest middle tower.
К вопросу где мы остановились в Батуми: неплохой отель Grand Royal, расположен в средней башне Sea Tower. Отель занимает 3 этажа (16-18).

There are not two identical rooms in this hotel. Each one has its own style an most of them has gorgeous sea views.
The only downgrade were their breakfast (they serve it into your room upon your request, so you do not have any choice) and not working TV (because the whole building was not connected yet). On the other hand the Grand Royal Hotel had very good wi-fi connection. Thus TV was not a big issue for us and the breakfast as well 'cause there is a marvelous Batumi Piazza where one can find enjoyable cafes for delicious breakfast.
Понравилось то, что в отеле нет идентичных комнат, каждая из которых имеет балкон с видом на море.
Не понравился завтрак (подается в комнату по запросу, поэтому выбора у вас как такового нет вообще) и не работающий телевизор (как нам обьяснили, все здание еще не было подключено). Этот недостаток был менее ощутит при наличии прекрасно работающего беспроводного интернета. Так что без телевизора мы справились, а вкусный завтрак нашли в городе в одном из кафе в Batumi Piazza.

In August the Sea Towers were not completely built. We used this disadvantage to go to the rooftop and take pictures from the highest place in Batumi.
We were impressed to see all this beauty.
Как вы уже догадались в августе башни были еще не полностью достроины. Мы же использовали это в свою пользу и подгялись на крышу самой высокой башни что б пофотографировать город с самой высокой точки Батуми.
