Christmas holidays in NY. I am so happy to see it. The city is really beautifull, people are happy and smiling. Everyone is wishing you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Shops and stores are making an effort to get more clients inside. Every show-window is so colourful and bright.
Most of all I was amazed by Macy's windows. It was like getting into a fairy tale. Every doll was dancing, playing, smiling and winking.
Enchanted by this delightful beauty we decided to strenghten our fascination and went to see a Broadway show. I am sure that all of them are fantastic and are definitely worth seeing. We choosed Wicked in Gershwin Theatre becaused we are sure that while in Rome do as the Romans do. According to all revies Wicked was the most popular among Americans (actually it seemed we were the only foreigners at the show) and it got only 5 stars.
We hadn't regret it once to choose this very show. The story and music were really entertaining. The ending of both acts were very powerful, and it really made us view The Wizard of Oz differently. I loved the story, singing, costumes, acting, and set. I am still under impression after more than a week.
If you ever consider going to see Wicked remember that the best thing is you could get a great price if you go to Times square and buy it the same day at half the price.
We couldn't do the same as it was a holiday season so we booked our tickets online 2 months in advance. The tickets were sold out long before the night of the show.
New York is a Disney land for adults, I would say. There is everything you may want and everything that could make you happy. So even if you want to be a child again - here you are. Disney store. In the very center of Times square. You won't miss it.
Dedicated to all dreamers no matter the age.
