During weekdays we are out of energy after the work. There is a few for the gym and grocery shopping left, so every weekends we try to do something interesting and see new places here in Nairobi. This time we went to Kenyatte Conference Centre to get a bird's eye view of the city. The building was built in early 70-s so i is not high (in comparison to Burj Khalifa:) however it provides an exellent view in all 4 directions.
The KICC is a complex that comprises of various meeting and exhibition facilities. Equipped with modern facilities and good security, this place has various options to choose from and its location at the city centre makes it accessible and close to accommodation facilities, which makes it a perfect choice for international conferences and exhibitions.
It took the elevator 24 sec to get to the 27th floor. Another three floors we were supposed to walk up the stairs.
On the flat roof there is a helicopter pad and plenty of space for the tourists to take photos. Fortunately we found few of them:) And it seems to me it is rarely overcrowded.
